The Sim

Our sim takes place just twelve years since the Dominion War and in the aftermath of the Romulan Glintara stars going nova.

In 2387, an aging starship that was built for war must step up to help preserve the fragile peace. One that its officers fought so hard for and is now in danger of collapsing from within.

The USS Moore is a Prometheus class ship set in an alternate timeline, where instead of the Hobus star going supernova, the Glintara binary stars within the Romulan Empire do. This Sim sets out to explore the mature themes of racism, political discontent, war, death, loyalty and one’s own principals. It openly challenges the utopian ideals of Star Trek in an effort to understand both our fellow man, ourselves and the darkness within.

The Moore

A Starfleet story about consequence, connection, and the burden of belief.

Our Vision

The Moore isn’t a sandbox — it’s a story that writers help steer. One continuous, unfolding narrative written with precision, purpose, and consequence. Every silence matters. Every choice ripples forward.

This is a ship that remembers — a story that grows through what people risk revealing, not what they hide. Characters aren’t protected from failure or contradiction. They evolve through it. The Moore explores what it costs to serve, to lead, and to be seen.

Our Tone

Grounded. Cinematic. Human. Every scene, every line, carries intent.

Writing on The Moore is treated as craft — deliberate and character-driven. The tone leans toward realism and restraint: the quiet between words, the flicker of subtext, the emotion that sits just under control.

We write like filmmakers — pacing scenes, building tension, and letting silence speak. The result is a story that feels lived-in, intimate, and authentic.

Our Ensemble

The Moore is a collaborative ensemble — fast-paced, character-driven, and alive with consequence. Scenes build on one another. Actions have weight. Choices shape what comes next.

Writers are encouraged to step fully into their characters, to think and react as they would within Starfleet. Posts are treated like scenes — purposeful, layered, and interconnected. Together, we create something cohesive, lasting, and human.

This is a writer’s room disguised as a starship — where everyone has a voice, and every voice matters.

Our Values

Presence. We write with intention, not obligation. Quality over quantity. Every scene deserves attention and care.

Collaboration. The Moore thrives on trust, curiosity, and creative partnership. Writers work together to elevate each other’s work — not compete for spotlight.

Consequence. Every action means something. The story evolves because of what the characters do — and who they become.

Honesty. Emotional truth is our currency. We write characters who feel deeply, fail openly, and grow honestly.

Courage. We value boldness and curiosity. Writers are encouraged to step beyond comfort — to take initiative in both story and scene. The Moore moves through those who create: the ones who reach out, ask questions, and start the story rolling. Growth comes from motion — from choosing to begin.

Risk. Creativity is messy by nature. The Moore encourages experimentation — to try, to fail, to find something truer in the process. We take risks in our writing and in our characters, trusting that imperfection is where the story comes alive.

Authenticity. The Moore isn’t about matching pace, style, or wordcount — it’s about showing up with honesty. Bring your character as they are: flawed, real, and evolving. What matters most is truth, not polish; presence, not perfection or performance.

Why The Moore

The Moore isn’t for everyone — and that’s the point. It’s for writers who want to feel what they write. Who crave story that moves, breathes, and matters. Who believe that the best fiction mirrors something real.

This isn’t a sim you drop into. It’s one that pulls you in. A space to build something together — cohesive, lasting, and human.

If that speaks to you, welcome aboard.
