Mission: Year One: Strange Bedfellows
Location: Armoury 3, Deck 5B, USS Moore
Timeline: MD008 - 1125 hours

It was a small room, barely fit enough for a 3 or so people. Not to mention the fact that the environment system had been on the fritz for a while. Keishara had reported it to Lieutenant Baaru but it wasn't deemed a top priority so right now it was hot as the Hells in here.

She was down to her Starfleet issue tank top, her jacket slung down in the corner somewhere out of the way. With the news of the allowance of the Orions on board Keishara was taking an inventory of the weapons on board, especially this deck as it was along from The DMZ. They were slippery bastards these Orions and whereas their pheromones didn't affect her they did many others who could be made more pliable to let them into places.

Steve walked into the armory and immediately was taken aback by the heat. He glanced at Davaris as he opened his uniform jacket, setting the repair kit on a shelf as he turned to open the panel in the compartment to the environmental controls. “Sorry, Commander. Give me a few minutes to fix this and I’ll get out of your way and inspection.” He offered as he reached for a tricorder to run a diagnostic. He had seen how Baaru had her hands full securing the auxiliary warp core and other repairs throughout the ship, he’d offered to help with the less vital repairs.

Keishara sighed internally. "Great! Mister Do Good is here!" she thought to herself as she watched him open his jacket. Arching a brow she chewed her lip before saying, "Surely this is beneath your position Commander. Didn't think you liked it down here in the dirt with the rest of us.". Her skin glistened with sweat, she'd been in that room for a while and felt her clothes sticking to her.

She'd felt strange since the Orions had came on board. Almost as if her body and mind were fighting against their pheromone release. Thankfully most of those on board had been men so far and they were easy enough to handle.

Steve looked up from the readings on his tricorder at the security chief and laughed at the assertion, shaking his head. "No, Commander, far from it," He stepped closer to the bulkhead to make a closer inspection, not noticing Davaris standing so close initially. "You forget...I spent eleven years serving as an Operations officer..." His attention on an isolinear rod that needed to be replaced and likely was the culprit before he turned to Keishara, a confident smile on his face. "throughout the war and down in the trenches and mud like everyone else..." He only then realized how close the El-Aurian was standing to him and the glistening of her skin, feeling his own breathing growing shallower in the heated space as he cleared his throat, lowering his eyes to avoid hers.

"Oh I didn't forget." Keishara smirked as she looked back down at her PADD. She'd been working through the list of items on the inventory and all of it was present and accounted for thus far. She knew operations officers were important during the war but none as more important than the security officers and marines, but she was biased on that. "You'll be happy to know that nothing is missing so far." she shook the PADD a little for emphasis.

Steve gave a small, embarrassed smile and nodded. "That's a relief to hear." He commented as he pulled at the isolinear rod that seemed to be stuck. He put the tricorder down and used both hands and with an eventual tug, it came loose as he lost his balance from the momentum of the rod leaving the slot and stumbling into Davaris.

Noticing Steve fumble around with his hand was very much how Keishara assumed Greco was in all aspects of his life. She'd felt the spike of emotion from him when he looked at her and imagined him being quite a timid creature when it came to intimate scenarios.

As he had stumbled into her he had inadvertently used his hands to stop his fall further and placed them both on Keishara's chest. All he seemed to do was stare at what had happened with no movement to retract them. "Commander, I suggest you remove them before I do..." she said with a deadpan tone and deadly stare.

Greco caught on quick enough and cleared his throat as he turned crimson. With an embarrassed look, he avoided Keishara's eyes as he slipped his hands away from her body. "I'm sorry, Commander. I didn't mean to..." he quietly mumbled an apology as he went to pick up the rod from the floor.

"I'm sure you didn't." Keishara replied as she straightened her tank top out. However, immediately it began to cling to her body once more as the heat within the room had increased and not only meaning the temperature. "I'm not like Ensign Bishop, or Lieutenant Zhevou. I'm not going to throw myself at you, or proposition you." she teased a little. The man was attractive, there was no question, and there was some tension in the air. "Not that you'd know what to do with me." she added as she turned to pick up the isolinear rod Steve had dropped.

Wiping the sweat off his brow with his free hand, Steve narrowed his eyes at Keishara for her comment as he dipped down for the rod. "What is that supposed to mean?" He was intentionally being vague, not sure if he wanted to know her thoughts of him or the rumors milling about the ship regarding him and the Operations officers.

Her back still to him as she heard his words Keishara scoffed a little. "You know exactly what I mean." she commented. "They not your type? The young and naïve? The brazen and over-confident?" she asked now turning to face him. The first being mention of Sophie, the second being Dash. "Women throwing themselves at you and you don't even know what to do about it..." she shook her head as she brushed by him a touch to inspect the section he'd just pulled the isolinear rod out of, her hair catching his face as she did so. "People refer to you as a Boy Scout... maybe they aren't wrong."

Steve physically bit his lip as he took in the scent of Keishara's hair and felt his body responding before the emotions of her words caught up with him. Spinning around he looked at her with growing annoyance, his pride wounded at the assumption he didn't know what to do with a woman. "I'm more than capable of satisfying a woman. Unlike some I know that it is inappropriate to abuse my position of authority." He spat at the El-Aurian as he hovered over her in the confined space. He had no problem throwing it in the woman's face that he knew about Keishara's own history with the crew and questionable antics, especially with Stewart.

"Oh please!" she stood up to face him, albeit a bit shorter in stature than him. "Such a pathetic excuse." Kei arched a brow. "Oh I can't have any fun with anyone on board because its all about regulations and abuse of power." she scoffed. "I do what I want because I fee like it and it feels good at the time. You think too much, you are more concerned with your poster boy image. Get your hands dirty and come down in the mud with the rest of us, or... will you be Starfleet's golden boy forever?" she sarcastically bowed at him before walking by him to get her PADD. She would continue this when he wasn't there.

Steve's agitation flared at the reference of him being Starfleet's Golden Boy. He had heard that far too much in the last few years and he had enough of that reputation, least of all from someone as questionable as Davaris. Greco stepped in front of Davaris and without thought acted on impulse. "Would a poster boy do this?" He asked before he crashed his lips down onto her passionately. Letting the passion guide his movements, he pushed the security chief gently back flush against the wall with his body. In his mind, Keishara was different. She wasn't a junior officer fresh out of the Academy, she wasn't a department head that reported to him directly, at least not like Dashku. Hell, the way Stryvek ran this ship, they were practically equals in the Vulcan's eyes.

As her back hit the wall, her head soon followed as the lips, body and everything seemed to be pressed against all of her. The cold bulkhead pressed against her skin as that coupled with the passionate act of the first officer caused the hairs on her arms stand on end. The whirlwind of emotion that seemed to pour out of him, not to mention the rise under his belt.

Coming up for some air she found herself biting his bottom lip as they parted a small gap. With determination in her eyes she pushed Greco across the room towards the door. "Lock that." she said before devouring his neck.

Without a word, Steve reached over and palmed the lock to the storage locker before moving to pull off his uniform jacket and tunic. Once he was as stripped down as Keishara, he used his superior height and strength to pull her to him and move so she was pressed against the lock door and took control again, pressing the El-Aurian's wrists into the door before starting the work of removing both their clothes as he went to kiss her aggressively again, nipping himself at her lips.

The feeling not being the one in control felt strange, not being the 'aggressor' odd, but in these circumstances and in this environment she felt content to see where it led.

Well, we all know where it's leading... but thankfully the door was locked.

Fade to black...
