Mission:
Year One: Whispers in the Wind
Location: USS Moore - Transporter Room 1
Timeline: MD 37: 09:00
Commander Greco gave a soft sigh to himself as he waited for the Captain to arrive and greet the captain of the Vienna and explain the situation with the leaders of the Whispers and the former Romulan Colonel. He wondered quietly to himself how former the man was and the state of the Tal Shiar, or the remnants of the Romulan government for that matter, but left that to Starfleet Command and Intelligence to sort out. He was far from displeased to be handing any Federation prisoners, even terrorists, over to the covert Romulan group, but the Moore was left with few options.
He was relieved that at least they would finally have a proper chief medical officer on board. He liked Yara but he always felt better having a doctor who was trained to run a full sickbay on hand.
Stryvek strode into the transporter room deep in thought. He did not like the situation that the Moore had been placed in. If one did not know any better one might have thought that the stress was getting to the Vulcan. "Morning Commander! If the Vienna is ready let us have the Captain transported over."
Steve simply nodded to first the captain then the transporter chief before turning to the pad and stood at ease while watching as the Vienna's captain beamed aboard with what appeared to be a young female Vulcan. Restraining his reaction and his face, Greco controlled his thoughts of another Vulcan being aboard as he waited quietly for the captains and make formal introductions, smiling politely to the two officers on the pad.
"Captain welcome aboard the Moore. We have much to discuss. This is my Executive Officer Commander Greco." Styvek pointed in Steven's direction as he made the introductions. For the moment he chose not to acknowledge the other new arrival.
The first officer and visiting captain exchanged polite smiles and curt nods of acknowledgment before the captain responded to Stryvek. "Captain Markus Strickland, a pleasure captain." He offered with a neutral tone that didn't match his words. His eyes were weary as he looked at the Vulcan in front of him.
T'Mara rematerialized into the Moore's transporter room with the golden sparkles that were a manifestation of the teleportation process. At the bottom of the raised transporter platform stood two males...a darker-skinned Vulcan male with four pips on his collar--Captain Stryvek--and a fair-skinned human male wearing three pips--Commander Greco. It was rather efficient to meet the CO and XO at once, regardless of the scenario.
T'Mara remained still as the two captains exchanged the required pleasantries. Once it was considered appropriate, she hefted her seabag over her shoulder and stepped off the platform. She held out the data padd that held her orders to the two senior officers of the ship. "Greetings. I am Lieutenant junior grade T'Mara, Chief Medical Officer, reporting for duty."
"Welcome aboard Doctor." Stryvek said and took the PADD from her, he would sign the transfer orders later. "The ship's quartermaster can show you to your quarters so you can settle in."
Steve gave another polite smile and curt nod again, but this time to the Vulcan doctor. "Doctor, it's a pleasure. Commander Greco, first officer, if there is anything you need to ensure this is a more comfortable assignment, please let me know." He offered in a friendly tone.
T'Mara dipped her chin in a deferential nod. "Understood, Sirs. I will report to the Quartermaster immediately...and if I require anything, I will contact you commander."
Strickland allowed the exchange of pleasantries as long as he could before turning his attention to the captain and getting down to business. "Captain, I must say, I was surprised to see that only thirty of the thirty-five of the prisoners were transported to our brig. Your report was most disappointing, especially to Starfleet Command."
"Captain Strickland this is neither the time nor is it the place to discuss these matters. Please let us go to my Ready Room and all of your questions can be answered." Stryvek said as he motioned toward the door. Personally he did not actually feel it mattered whether they discussed this in public or private. However, decorum dictated otherwise.
T'Mara hefted her seabag over her shoulder and strode out of the transporter room. Something obviously was ongoing, if the captain of the Vienna coincidentally 'accompanied' her over to the Moore. She did not have any idea as of yet, but logically she would be read in to any mission if her assistance was to be necessary. For now it was best to focus on this 'settling in' process. Not that there was much to 'settle in.' Perhaps after getting her quarter assignment she would go and inspect sickbay?
Stryvek stopped and turned on his heel to face T'Mara, as if he had forgotten something and just remembered. "Lieutenant, try to get to Sick Bay sooner than later. We have a number of people who still need tending to after the terrorist attack. Multiple patients recuperating. Welcome Aboard Lieutenant!" He turned back toward Captain Strickland. "Right this way Captain."
Dipping her head in a form of acquiescence, T'Mara did not verbally reply--as it was not necessary--but rather followed the captain's orders, turning heel to leave the transporter room to obtain berthing and to report to sickbay.
Commander Greco gave a small but warm smile to the newest doctor as the party reached the corridor. With a curt of his head, he gave the Vulcan another quiet welcome before leaving with the two captains for the debriefing of the situation with the Romulans.
