Mission: Year One: Whispers in the Wind
Location: USS Moore - War Room
Timeline: MD 015 - 0800 hours

Keishara had decided that The Whispers of the Federation, or more commonly known now as The Whispers, had became too much of a threat to everyone. Their growing dissent, discontentment with Federation rulings and procedures had led to a lot of resignations, AWOL's and the like and the threat of them was growing even more now since the Romulan displacement.

She had called the senior staff to inform them, keep them on the right side of things and let them know to be on their guard. Remy Naal, he was a courtesy. She didn't usually do courtesy but she was feeling more generous of late and was trying to be more of a team player since her second officer placement.

It was only 0800 but she felt like it was nearly time for her shift to be over. Keishara sighed, her nightmares were getting worse and she dared not close her eyes for a second and relive her past... now was not the time to think of such things.

Remy nodded to his security escort with a small smile as he was brought into the conference room. He quietly thanked the officer for the escort from the transporter room to the meeting. He understood purpose and was not offended. Glancing around the room, he spotted Davaris. He could see she looked worse for wear. "Commander...rough night?" He asked with gentle amusement as he approached. So far the El-Aurian had given him the clear distinction she didn't like him but had no idea why.

"No." Keishara replied. She straightened herself up and put a better face on out of the eyeshot of him. She could feel him smirking even if his face didn't show it. "How was your night?" she asked as she tried to be civil.

Remy shrugged as he stretched his arms and shoulders. “Well enough for a standard cot I suppose. He looked at the woman. “You don’t like me very much do you?” He asked bluntly. He could see distinct similarities between Keishara and Evelyn to not know when someone was putting up an act.

"I don't have much of an opinion of your sir." Keishara replied honestly and respectfully. "If I am being honest I don't like most people so its not really you as such but everyone in general. I warm up to some people over time, not all."

Remy smiled as he nodded. “Ok then, with any luck we won’t have to interact much more in the future.” He said with a cheerful smile.

Amarok entered as he tapped on a padd during Remy's words and glanced up momentarily to pick a chair. He went to one and sat down. "Morning all." He greeted.

"Morning Lieutenant." Kei replied the arrival of Amarok.

Remy smiled at the Romulan. “Amarok, my friend. I hope you have been well. I heard you were made an officer. Congratulations!” He offered with a grin to the Romulan he hadn’t seen since the briefing on Earth. Remy then moved to stand in the corner, out of the way. He was not a member of the crew, it felt wrong to sit amongst the senior staff.

Lily was almost late to the meeting, having gotten caught up in writing down notes with a pencil upon a paper notepad. A glance up to the clock as well as the alarm she had set, reminded Lily that she had a meeting to get to. She tucked her burgundy colored wooden pencil inside her notepad and hurried out the door to the conference room. She paused for a moment to take a breath, feeling her heart start to pound. This will be her first briefing with a new crew, as Chief Medical Officer. Okay Lily you will be fine, just breathe. Forcing the nervousness downwards, Lily had a smile when she walked inside.

"Good morning." Lily cheerily greeted those there. Her eyes panning around the room at those already there. Her gaze landed upon Remy standing in the corner, and she tilted her head in a questioning way, walking over to him, Lily said softly, when she neared him. "There seems to be plenty of chairs to sit on. Care to take a seat by me?"

Remy just gave a cheerful smile at the doctor as he shook his head. “Thank you, Doctor. I’m fine over here. And truth be told, I’m only a guest. It’s not right to set amongst the crew.” He said calmly. “But merci, your offer is appreciated.”

Commander walked in and nodded to everyone. “Morning all. Mister Naal, good to see you as well.” He offered as he moved to his usual seat, noting Remy nodding to him in greeting.

"Nice to see you again Remy," Amarok smiled back, he decided to ignore the talk about his provisional commission and nodded to both Commander Greco and Doctor Marlow. "Commander, Lieutenant." He greeted.

"Greetings, Lieutenant s'Lovok and Commander Greco" Lily returning their greeting.

Quietly Lily responded to Remy, "are we not part of the same team? I consider that we are all equal talking about our common goals and the best interest for the refugees. Hence, please sit by me, Or across from me." this way the attention will not be divided, well my attention will not be divided by my craning my neck to see your face as you add your own insights."

Remy gave a polite smile and nod, moving to a seat across from Lily at the table. It felt awkward but he wasn’t going to make himself an annoyance.

Lily gave a smile, "Thank you" she said quietly, placing her notebook upon the table in front of her. She opened it up to a blank page and picked up her pencil to take notes.

Walking into the room, Liana and her uniform were in quite a state. The normally golden colour of her engineering uniform now looked almost brown from coolant stains, her hair looked like a birds nest as it had been messily tied up though more then a few strands had managed to escape, and her face was streaked with dust and grit. Loans had been spending her time crawling through the ships jefferies tubes familiarising herself with the Moore’s inner workings. The only reason she was here on time was the several alarms that she’d set for herself. Stopping just inside the room, Liana took a moment to take a breath before putting on a wide smile, “hello everyone.”

"Morning Doctor," Amarok replied with a smile.

"Good morning" Lily responded towards Amarok. A pleasant expression still there. Though there was a slight furrow in her brow, had the Chief Scientist gotten a medical examine as of late?

Dashku was a little later to the meeting than some of the others, but she'd arrived before the Captain. Her black hair was in a tight braid that came off the back of her head, her uniform was in good shape, but not as crisp as it could have been and a PaDD in her right hand and a cup of something steaming in her left that could easily be identified as coffee.

She gave a nod to the table, before she settled into one of the chairs on the side of the table and took a sip from her cup.

Nahe walked in with a troubled look upon her face, and rearranging a half dozen PaDD's in her pouch with one hand and holding a lidded tea mug in the other as she found a nearby seat and took it. " Good morning everyone. " She said as she sat down.

Stewart practically rushed in. She overslept and had to dress quickly and braid her hair on the turbolift. She didn’t need another reason for Greco to send her back to Koaruh for another evaluation. She noticed that Remy was at this briefing bit down on her frustration, avoiding both his and Kei’s eyes as she walked to her usual seat.

Stryvek was last to arrive. Arriving late was something that he found to be most useful in evaluating how the senior staff got along and integrated. He stepped into the room with long yet even strides that seemed to glide. He chose not to acknowledge Remy's presence and instead took his seat at the head of the table. "Commander Davaris I appreciate you calling this meeting and sharing the data you have. Please proceed." He said as he took his seat and paid a lot of interest to what his Security Chief was about to say.

Keishara simply nodded at the Captain in acknowledgement of his statement. She was still pretty pissed after recent admissions and revelations. Now in front of her sat a lot of wanting eyes, some curious, some indifferent. The wave of emotion from them all, aside the Captain, was enough to make someone sick, but she both loved and hated briefings. Loved giving out the information, hated the questions.

"Now that everyone has decided to grace themselves with their presence I can begin." she turned to the screen.
