Mission: Year One: Whispers in the Wind
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: MD: 015 1100 hrs

The briefing adjourned and Lily moved to catch up to Lieutenant s'Lovok. "Lieutenant s'Lovok, would you accompany me to medical? I had a thought during the briefing, to check your over all health. With my being rather new, I'd like to get my own records as to everyone's overall health." a warm and pleasant smile surfacing. The smile was evident in her eyes as well, "It shouldn't take much time for it. Would you be willing to let me do the medical examination?"

"Of course Doctor, after you." Amarok gestured as they had left the briefing. He hadn't had a medical since he came aboard, though he really should have.

"Well then walk this way." Lily giving a bit of a smile, leading the way to medical. When they arrived, "How have you been? And lets have you sit upon the biobed for your scans as well."

"Physically still a little tender from the attack, mentally as well if I'm honest, I always believed the Federation was enlightened..." Amarok let his voice trail off as he may have to find a new home if Starfleet were changing into a xenophobic organization. It was sad really. Amarok thought from the history he read up on that Humans had long since become an open-minded refined civilization.

Maybe his own people saw through that fake community driven mindset Earth pulled other races into in order to take over. He shook his head. Not all Humans were like these Whispers and Amarok had to remember that. He sat down on the biobed and waited with a half smile, not quite feeling good natured anymore. The attack had far more impact then he realized and it scared him that he may not ever recover.

"Wait you got attacked? When and where?" This catching Lily's attention and she quickly grabbing her medical tricorder to start the scans on him. "Lieutenant s'Lovok can you tell me what happened?"

"I did, by these Whispers. Several days ago, in the shuttlebay. I still feel the impacts and how they cursed me for being Romulan." Amarok said, "Starfleet officers ambushed and beat me, the incident and following medical reports should be in the computer." He gestured to Lily's office.

"oh dear, well then, lets take a look at your records. And I am truly sorry that happened. People like that tend to make me rather uncomfortable. Can't really judge people by a few bad apples in any race. Not all Star Fleet officers are morons and act that way, and I am a firm believer that not all Romulans are jerks either." Lily replied, as they stepped inside her office.

Amarok nodded. "Of course," he smiled.

She went to the desk and pulled up the records of the examination that took place after the attack.

Lily's lips thinned into a grim line as she looked at the records as to the injuries Amarok had suffered. It looked like he had covered his head with his arms, having curled up in a ball. The ones who had attacked certainly seemed to take a bit of aggression out on him. There had been deep contusions upon the forearms, along the shoulders and back from being kicked and it also looked like a blunt instrument had been used as well. There had been some microfractures along the ulna, (the outer arm bone). And a concussion plus damage to the spleen.

"It is good that you and your people have such muscle and bone density. This sort of attack would have put my race into a coma and would have been in medical for a long while. Thank goodness for modern medicine to help heal these physical injuries. What precipitated this attack on you?" Lily asked, a furrow forming on her brow.

"That is the only thing I'm grateful for, the rest of being a Romulan... Not so much." Amarok said then frowned. "Fear and hate," he said casually like it was obvious. "My people are responsible for much against the Federation, though the Star Empire joining the Alliance in the Dominion War did some repairs but I don't think there will ever be complete trust between the two governments nor the peoples of both.

"Probably not but always there is the one step forward as people decide to either work together." Lily closing up the computer file. "Now though you are here and you are alive, and that is very important isn't it? Therefore we have a win win situation as in you lived and didn't die. To me that is important that there wasn't another loss of life."

He nodded, "I agree Doctor." Amarok smiled.

"Well then, it is back to work for us right?" Lily remarked with a smile, as she rose from her chair and headed out of her office.
