Mission: Prologue: Centre Predominate
Location: Captain's Ready Room
Timeline: MD 005: 1000 hrs

It had only been yesterday that Keishara had a 'scuffle' with Evelyn in one of the corridors. That coupled with Evelyn's trip to sickbay Kei was surprised it had taken the Captain this long to call her in.

She entered the ready room and stood in front of his desk at attention. "Reporting as ordered Captain." She stated.

"Commander yes. Please be at ease and sit down." Stryvek began as he sat rigid as ever behind his desk. Once she had seated herself he began. "Forgive me if I am brisk. However, as you know I have no emotions. So, I would like you to walk me through the emotional states that led to you sending another officer to Sick Bay."

"As you wish, sir." Kei replied as she loosened up, slightly and sat down. Oh she knew he had no emotions, he liked to mention it a lot and even after 13 or so years together he still felt the need to justify his words. "What officer are you talking about sir?" she asked innocently. "I did not physically send anyone to sickbay. Maybe whomever this was simply was clumsy and fell." she replied.

"Come now Keishara we are too long friends for coy games. You send Lieutenant Stewart to Sick Bay after a fight. It is my duty to investigate. Since I know that you know better I have to assume that you were in some sort of emotional state. So I will restate me question. Care to walk me through the emotional states that led to your fight with Lieutenant Stewart?" Stryvek was already willing to chalk this up to high emotions for all involved. However, he wanted to hear the events from both parties before he made a full decision.

"I see the doctor also sent a report up." Keishara huffed and rose from her chair. She began to pace, almost as if trying to figure out how to get the words out. "And don't hit me with the emotional state, I'm always in an emotional state one way or another... as are most of us sir." she paused and looked out the window. "Lt. Stewart was in a foul mood and took that behaviour out on me. She pushed, pushed and pushed too much until I had enough. She had me up against a wall, and you know how I hate feeling cornered... or up against anything really, and my forehead slipped... onto her nose."

Stryvek knew of her past. Her slave upbringing, what she was subjected to there. He knew that she was a proud woman with many mental scars in her head but she was capable of so much more. Thankfully she had many centuries to improve upon herself should see stay on the right side of a phaser or torpedo. She was what her past had made her up to this point, and that was someone with an extremely hard shell, someone not to be messed with but someone who would stand by you into the fires of Hell itself... or whatever your species equivalent.

"Yes I can see how a situation like that could get out of hand. What exactly did Evelyn say?" Stryvek's question was more morbid curiosity than an attempt to investigate further. "I know most non Vulcans are always in an emotional state. However, I meant to learn the events that put you into the state of allowing your head to collide with her face as you put it."

"I don't think what Evelyn said is important anymore." Keishara wanted to protect her privacy, and her own. The Captain didn't need to know they slept together. "Someone had said something that struck a nerve, something that involved me, and she lost control for a short time. It was quickly resolved, the viewing crowd dispersed and Evelyn taken for treatment." Kei smirked a little before remembering the comment that escalated the situation.

"At one point she mentioned, or insinuated, about my past as a slave... l" she sighed. 'I told her a bit about that and she used the implication of the subject to get under my skin. I may have mentioned her issues with alcohol, and well..." she threw her hands up.

For the slightest moment Stryvek regretted being where he was, in command of so many emotional beings. "I know that something like this would never happen again. Or is it something that I am going to have to look out for? You are the Second Officer and in truth I expect more from you. Lieutenant Stewart it seems has been through any number of problems in her lifetime. I am attempting to assist her in moving on from that." Stryvek paused as he took in the moment and the events that had just been relayed to him. "I do not want to hear about something like this happening again."

Kei closed her eyes and took a breath. "No, Captain. It won't happen again. I am sorry if you feel I let you down but you know that no-one backs me into a corner..." that comment hanged in the air. Quite frankly what the Captain and Evelyn had going was not her concern, nor did she want it to be. However, his interest in her was strange to her.

She hated being scolded, it made her want to defy everything and everyone. Her face was going a little red at the Captain's very understandable and reasonable comments.

"Yes I know. Believe me when I say you are not the only one at fault here. I plan on having a very similar conversation with Lieutenant Stewart. All I am asking is that you are a little less ferocious when coming out of the corner as it were." Stryvek sat rigid straight in his chair. He truly hoped that nothing like this happened with Keishara or any other member of his crew.

"I am sure your conversation with Lt. Stewart will be quite defensive and passionate in her pleas of innocence... unless she surprises even you sir and cops to the whole thing." Keishara made a face.

"As I said regardless of who was at fault. You as the senior officer should show more restraint that the others. However, I have no doubt that you are correct and she will admit to no wrongdoing. No matter it will be handled all the same." Stryvek believed that a ship's crew either rises or falls as a team. That being said he would address everyone involved in every incident together. Simple, pure, logic...

"Yes, sir." Kei responded very matter of fact. "I am sure this issue is resolved. I will eventually confront Evelyn on this and get us on a working level. I will not headbutt anymore of the crew." She smirked.

Stryvek raised his left eyebrown. "See that you don't Commander. If there is nothing else, you are dismissed."

"Yes Captain." Kei said with little emotion. She turned and left to go back to her duties.
